5 Star Reviews from Yelp
Sarah H., Chicago, IL
Dr. Megan is amazing and her adjustments always help with my hips and lower back problems. I’ve been to other chiropractors who want to pre-set a treatment schedule (one wanted me in 3x/week!!) dr. Megan always makes it clear she wants to listen to what my body wants and not overcharge me with redundant visits.
I’ve also had Alyssa and sherry for massages. Both are so skilled in different ways, definitely worth the experience.
Every time I’ve called to schedule appointments or even initially to check benefits, everyone I’ve spoken to has been so helpful and friendly. There are a couple 1-star reviews on here about poor customer service; completely unfounded. I was even that horrible patient who has to reschedule 4x on one call (I apologized profusely) and the woman working with me was nothing but gracious.

The whole staff were very accommodating, attentive and professional. Rebecca took very good care of me. My schedule changed at the last minute and they made it possible for me to come in earlier than I was supposed to. I go back next week. My next phase is to work with Dr. Megan!!! I’m so glad I’m in great hands.

I have been going to Division Chiro & Acu for about a year and have zero complaints and only positive things to say. I have seen Michelle (acu), Rebecca (acu), Alicia (chiro) and Paula (massage) throughout the year depending on what I think my body needs. I regularly see Michelle for acu and I think she’s quite amazing. She takes time to listen to your concerns, pains, thoughts and frustrations and always responds in a way that feels informative and caring. I like that she sheds educated light on problems that western medicine doesn’t address and she explains other ways to focus on healing aside from taking drugstore medications or going to see doctor after doctor. She actually makes you feel very good about seeking other means for healing and takes into account any uncertainties you have about herbs or Chinese treatments- never forcing something on you. She has a calming presence which keeps me relaxed during sessions. I also see Paula regularly for massage therapy and she’s excellent. Depending on the day, I will ask her focus on different areas and she does a great job at noting where I’m tight and eases the tension. I love that she does as great of a job of doing a relaxing massage as she does doing a deep tissue. Not all massage therapists can do that!

Alyssa is the best massage therapist I have gone to. She listens to your needs and adjust the massage accordingly. You also get to pick the music:-)
I’ve also been going to Dr. Alicia for almost 2 years now and she is helped me go from having daily back pain to only needing maintenance adjustments every couple of months. Best and most friendly place I have been to!

Dr. Megan has such a calming voice, and it makes me wonder if she ever gets angry and how that would sound. It makes sense that she would use it to try and get people to relax so that she can adjust them. I also have had Alyssa and Paula give me massages and they are fantastic! Alyssa spent a great deal of time on my glutes and I may have even had the bruises to prove how amazing of a job she did. I was and have been super tight, and wonder if I have been storing some stress and tension there. Paula really got my lower back in a way I have not ever experienced before. I am use to the lying face down and flipping over, but have yet had someone ask me to lay sideways and boy did she get my lower back and glutes really well. I am just so impressed by the skills here. I love that my insurance covers this, and I will certainly be using all my visits throughout the year.

I love the ambiance here, this place is so beautiful and calming. I have been getting acupuncture from Michelle and she is wonderful… she has a very welcoming and calming presence and I feel like she could be an old friend. I came to her for my acne and it has since cleared up completely which could not make me happier! It was related to an inbalance in my hormones which she helped me to balance. I also had been dealing with a lot of anxiety and it has been getting much better. I am going back for reiki next and I am sure it will be an amazing experience as well!!

I love it here! It literally took me 4 different chiropractors until I found Division Chiro! I personally can’t stand that 45min heat/ultrasound/stim nonsense that a lot of chiros use, so I was pleasantly surprised to see Division Chiro does regular ol’ 15 min chiropractic adjustments. There is also no push to come more than necessary, which is nice. I see Beatrice for massage as well, which I find very helpful, (massage may even be covered by your insurance) and have experienced fewer (chronic) headaches as a result. Overall a great place.

I was afraid to try Acupuncture for my first time. The sweet and kind receptionist was very helpful eliminating my fears. Once inside this clean, friendly and relaxing establishment Rebecca applied the treatment and before I knew it I feel asleep and it was pain free. My back has never been better. For people who stab you in the back for a living, they couldn’t be nicer. Im very much looking forward to the next time I hurt my back.

Love Dr. Megan and staff. Michelle and Rebecca have done wonders for my persistent plantar fascitiis and tendinitous sp? with my feet. I love their hours and availability. Amaze balls with the ambiance too. Lovely accupuncture rooms and they are very accomadating with my 5 month old too. – fyi Massage way better at Bucktown Chiro…..Love that one also, but my insurance is not covered there.

I was sure I would never find another chiropractor to love after leaving my last one in Minneapolis when we moved, but sure enough, I met Alicia, and my body and I couldn’t be more relieved. She’s extremely professional and knows her stuff. She gets amazing results — she’s even been able to adjust an area in the middle of my back no one else has ever been able to move. I also love that she’s super down-to-earth and doesn’t pressure me to come back three times a week or something else completely ridiculous.
I tried other chiropractors in Chicago before I found her, but I will never go anywhere else again. She definitely elevates the profession.

I had a GREAT 60-minute extra-firm sports massage by Alyssa . She found and eliminated every knot, and I had many. I have had some difficulty scheduling a follow up appointment because of her busy calendar (and mine) but definitely plan to return for more.

Michelle is amazing. I have never experienced such instant results from acupuncture before. Basically i suffer from headaches that last several days. They’re not migraines, I think they’re caused due to stress and anxiety. Anyway, they seem to come every 3 months on the clock. As soon as i spend a day miserable at home with a headache, and foggy headedness, I decide to pick up the phone and call Michelle(not her directly, but the office). Michelle has a very warm and calming personality. The second you sit down with her, you already feel more relaxed because you know you’re in good hands. She really takes the time to talk to you, ask questions, answer questions, etc. I’ve never felt rushed. You can tell she is passionate about what she does and truly cares about helping you. My boyfriend has gone to her with shoulder pain. I initially found Michelle for him since he was in so much pain and after his amazing experience, I decided to try the acupuncture. Anyway, do yourself a favor and try her out. You wont be disappointed. The office is great too and very professional.

I have never done acupuncture before, but have been having terrible headaches and unable to sleep so I thought – why not? I came on Saturday and loved it. I saw Rebecca and she was very informative on the process, what I should expect and talked me through everything I was experiencing. I didn’t feel the needles go in at all, and it was a very relaxing. I would recommend this to anyone!

I’ve been seeing Michelle on and off since 2011 as needed and I have been very pleased with her services. I have had acupuncture from other providers before but she is by far the best I have encountered here in Chicago. She is very professional and skilled at her trade, with a great bedside manner. Her background in nutrition is a huge bonus, and she made some suggestions to me for diet alterations that have been really life changing for me. I really appreciate her holistic approach and truly believe in the power of acupuncture. Her treatments have been noticeably effective. Michelle provides expert treatment in a clean, comfortable, and healing environment.

I met Michelle in March of 2009. After a year of trying to get pregnant, and my O.B. recommending that I start taking fertility drugs, I wanted to try another way. I started seeing Michelle. She not only administered acupuncture treatments, but also suggested foods to eat and avoid as well as herbs/teas to consume. Within 3 months I was pregnant. I also sought treatment from Michelle in the year following the birth of my son to rebuild my post-partum body. As my son approached his one year birthday I found out I was pregnant and was blessed with a baby girl in the fall of 2011. I credit Michelle with helping my body prepare for 2 healthy pregnancies and babies. She is wonderful, caring and compassionate, and I highly recommend her!

Dr. Alicia Cohler is great! She is patient and takes the time to explain things to you. I was nervous at first because I’ve never been to a chiropractor before, but after meeting with her she puts you at ease. For a long time, I had back pain and thought it’s something I just had to deal with. After several visits with Dr. Cohler my back pain went away. Every now and then I will come in for an adjustment, whenever I feel a slight pain. I definitely recommend Dr. Cohler! Don’t think back pain is something you have to live with.

I started seeing Michelle in the eighth month of my pregnancy to treat my low back pain and my digestion, which was really off for a while. I felt better and better after each session and as I inched closer to my due date Michelle’s own birth story and parenting experiences added to my knowledge base. As it would turn out Michelle ended up treating me on the birth-day of my son. I was in pain from an extended prodromal (pre-labor) phase–about 33 hours of really intense 10-second contractions. I missed two nights of sleep and I knew that I needed to get the ball rolling. My midwife agreed an acupuncture treatment might be just what I needed. Michelle gave me an incredible treatment that included Reiki and breath coaching (her doula skills at work) through some painful contractions on her table. After I left her office, my contractions were regular and steadily increasing. Just seven hours later my baby boy arrived healthy and 100% naturally! I know that Michelle’s special interest in fertility, pregnancy and pediatric care was an essential piece in my very positive pregnancy and birth experience. I highly recommend her!

This review is long overdue. I looked up Michelle on yelp after being told some horrible news. I was told by my doctor that my eggs were old and that I would never be able to have a child. Desperate and brokenhearted, I looked into acupuncture to see if it would work. After my first visit with Michelle, I knew that I was in the right place.
The atmosphere at Division Chiropractic and Acupuncture is very warm and Zen like. It is a very healing place. Michelle is a very warm and caring person who is extremely gifted and a great person to be around.
After several months of seeing Michelle I began to feel my body change for the better. In seven months, I was able to tell Michelle that I was pregnant. I honestly believe that she already knew before I did.
My beautiful baby girl was born on December 31, 2011. I had a very easy pregnancy and saw Michelle all the way through. With Michelle’s help, I am able to hold my baby in my arms and I’m so very thankful and blessed.

I should have written this review ages ago, but it isn’t going to make much of a difference to the rating, because like everyone else, I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Cohler. I’ve been to a number of excellent chiropractors over the years, but somehow Dr. Cohler is the best. Not sure I could tell you why, but it probably has something to do with the fact that she’s extremely knowledgeable, extremely nice, and very much on top of her work. And on top of all that, she isn’t even as expensive as some other chiropractors in town. She once mentioned that she’s from a family of chiropractors, and it’s clear that she loves what she does.
They’ve recently expanded their upstairs area for massage therapy and Dr. Cohler seems to have selected some excellent folks to work that side of the business, as well.
If you’re already familiar with chiropractic care and are looking for a new chiropractor, your search is over. And if you’re new to chiropractic care, Dr. Cohler is the best possible introduction you could have.

I have been to see her again this year. Michelle is so warm and caring — she really wants to do whatever she can to heal her patients. She knows me now, enough to know that I love the heat — she turns on the heat pads, the heat lamp and the extra heater in the room for my sessions. She spent 90 minutes with me the other day, finishing my session with cupping (yes, you have these crazy suction marks for days) for no extra fee. She uses extra fine needles on me because I have sensitive skin and I can hardly tell they’re there. I also love the new expanded space upstairs!
I still haven’t tried anyone else for acupuncture…so that must be a good thing!

When I moved to the city two years ago I wanted to find a chiropractor that was a little closer to home. I searched on Google and Division Family Chriopractic came up with the best reviews. Well the outstanding reviews are well deserved. Dr. Cohler is not only great a what she does but she’s personable as well. I started going to her and had such a great experience that I recommended her to my boyfriend. He’d never been to a chiropractor and was really nervous about his first visit. She let me sit in the room with him and she talked him through the whole thing, letting him know exactly what she was going to do and why. He’s a regular patient now.
She is also one of the most flexible doctors I’ve ever gone to. I messed up my upper back pretty badly, called her from work, and she got me in right away. I made a second appointment for the next day (I really did a number on my back) but she also gave me her personal e-mail address in case the pain didn’t subside some and I needed to get in first thing in the morning. She was going to open the office early to get me in. Talk about flexibility! She’s a great chiropractor and a great person.

Recently I was referred to Dr. Cohler from a work colleague as part of a total care program I am on regarding getting into better shape for a sport I play and overall health. I had no idea that chiropractic care had benefits beyond just helping with pain but affects many areas of the nervous system which controls almost everything. I had never been to a chiro before seeing Dr. Cohler and she has been great in explaining the elements of the care to me step by step and making me feel comfortable with the process. I highly recommend her if you are in the market for chiropractic care.

Michelle is an incredibly caring and kind healer who created a customized acupuncture treatment for my symptoms and helped me relax and feel comfortable during the session. I left my first appointment feeling SO much better. As someone who isn’t very familiar with eastern medicine, Michelle was very helpful in explaining different points and she even helped me come up with adjustments for my lifestyle and eating habits. I highly recommend Michelle, especially for acupuncture beginners!

Most relaxing massage ever. Went back for acupuncture and it was great. Definitely going to become a repeat customer.

My experience at Evolve was absolutely lovely. It is a brand new space for massage and acupuncture that I just happened to notice while stuck in Ashland Ave traffic. I had to call to get rates since their website is not up yet (did I mention it was really really new). The massage rates are $75 for an hour and $95 for 90 minutes, which are pretty good but combined with their $10 off deal for new clients I was sold. The massage was one of the best Ive ever had, hands down. Mainly because Sarah also did cupping on my back first – which was a very interesting experience. She told me it was to release heat from my body and loosen the knots. I didn’t know what to expect so I said okay and she was right my back felt amazing at the end of the session. The rates are just for the time and I was able to decide if I wanted cupping within that time or not. Hot stones were also available but I personally dont care for them as much. She also used heated towels, table, neck wrap and eye pillow. Ive had those included before but at other spas they bump up the price a lot higher than here.
One thing to mention though is that this is NOT a spa. Its a super cozy room in a new office building so there isn’t a shower, sauna, etc. I just changed in the room. I dont mind this since Im going in for the massage not to hang out in a locker room with other strangers. But,since it is one room it is appointment only.
Overall, I loved this place and really liked my massage therapist. She was really sweet and I will definitely try to visit her monthly. And I’m also a huge fan of small businesses and this place is made up of only two women. You Go Girls!!

Dr. Alicia Cohler is as good as I’ve found in the field of chiropractic care. She never pushes you to come in more or do alternative more expensive treatments unless she really thinks it is necessary. You honestly feel like she has your best intentions and well being at heart. She even works with me to help make my payments more affordable because I have such a high insurance deductible.
I see her every month for a tune up, and every treatment is much needed (I somehow managed to hurt myself on a regular basis and knock stuff out of alignment). I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else, even if I moved out of the neighborhood.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Wilkening on and off for the past year and a half, and all I can say is that she is awesome. She explains exactly what is going on to cause my pain and she gives me easy tips on what I can do to alleviate the problem. And the thing is, she is always right. Since seeing her my back and neck pain have decreased tremendously, so much so that I really do not need to go to her that often anymore….but if I do have more pain, I wouldn’t go anywhere else besides here.

I came to Michelle after facing continuous frustration with the inability of my traditional doctors to treat my chronic pain. Their insistence on prescribing strong and toxic pain killers, motivated me to start looking for alternative healing modalities for pain management.
At the recommendation of a friend, I sought out Michelle Ferry and scheduled an appointment. Although I was initially fearful of the idea of having a bunch of little needs all over my body, Michelle was comforting, patient and skillfully put me at ease.
Within two weeks of my initial treatments with Michelle, I no longer needed to take the pain killers prescribed by my doctors. Since then, Michelle has been critical in helping me begin the work of healing my chronic illness, as well as anxiety and other ailments.
She made acupuncture not only a comfortable and relaxing experience, but a accessible and important part of my long term health care. She is exceptionally, talented, knowledgeable and professional.
Give her a call, you won’t regret it.

I have only been to one acupuncturist and that’s Michelle. I can’t give her 5 stars because i have nothing to compare it to but I am definitely a big fan…obviously, because I haven’t tried anyone else. I have seen her about 8 times in the past year.
She is super caring, calm, a good listener and very focused on her patients. I like that she remembers my problem spots and also remembers to give me the super thin needles because I am more sensitive.
I always feel great after seeing her and I like that she doesn’t push you to come repeatedly…she recommends what is necessary for your situation and is always happy to see me for my “maintenance”.
When the seasons change, stop in for your re-balancing…or if you travel a lot, she has great treatments for sinus problems and the treatments also help with jet lag.

I’ve been going to Divison Chiropractic and Acupuncture for quite a few years now and my chronic back pain that was ailing me for years has gone away. I moved away from the area, but I’m able to go in once a month, which helps me maintain good back health. Michelle Young has helped me a great deal with acupuncture and she is my go-to person for any questions about my general health. Alicia Cohler and Paula Halfman really got my back to a great place with chiropractic adjustments and therapeutic massage. I highly recommend Division Chiropractic and Acupuncture. The practitioners there really care about your health and I always leave there feeling amazing.

Alicia is very knowledgeable and extremely friendly. She generally cares about your health and gives advice that is in your best interest instead of hers 🙂 She’s great!
