The Reiki practitioner uses light touch over your body’s energy centers (chakras). It is common to feel warmth, cold, tingling or subtle pulsations coming from the practitioner’s hands. Some people have emotional releases during a treatment; others drift off to sleep or have visions. After a treatment, peopleWicker Park Chicago Reiki generally feel a sense of peace and contentment, greater mental clarity, relief from pain and a more positive, balanced outlook.

Reiki is also an excellent adjunctive therapy to medications, surgery, chemotherapy and psychotherapy. It is beneficial during times of transition, such as moving residence, changing jobs or ending a relationship or in cases of stubborn medical issues, or those stemming from mental or emotional imbalance.

Feeling tight in your hips or lower back? It might be your hamstrings asking for attention! The supine hamstring stretch is a gentle, effective way to increase flexibility, relieve tension, and support healthy posture and movement—especially if you sit for long hours or love to run.

To try it:
✔️ Lie flat on your back
✔️ Extend one leg up toward the ceiling
✔️ Hold behind your thigh or calf (not your knee!)
✔️ Keep the opposite leg bent or straight on the floor
✔️ Hold for 20–30 seconds, then switch sides

Make this a regular part of your routine and feel the difference from your legs to your lower back!

Try it:
✔️ Stand tall with soft knees
✔️ Hinge at the hips, keeping your spine neutral
✔️ Push your hips back as if reaching for a wall behind you
✔️ Return to standing by driving your hips forward
