Why Movement Breaks Matter for Nerve Health Long Why Movement Breaks Matter for Nerve Health

Long periods of sitting can place constant pressure on nerves and limit healthy blood flow, which may lead to stiffness, tingling, or discomfort over time. Taking regular movement breaks helps nerves glide, improves circulation, and keeps your nervous system from becoming irritated or compressed.

Even standing up, walking for a minute, or gently stretching every 30–60 minutes can make a big difference in how your body feels throughout the day. Small breaks = big support for long-term nerve health.

Movement Monday – Neck & Nerve Series This week w Movement Monday – Neck & Nerve Series

This week we’re focusing on standing hip dips using a wall for support. While this movement targets the hips and lateral core, it also plays a big role in reducing compensations that travel up the spine — helping decrease tension in the low back, shoulders, and even the neck.

Stand tall with one hand lightly on the wall, shift weight into the standing leg, and lower the opposite hip gently toward the floor before lifting it back to neutral. Slow, controlled reps help strengthen the lateral hip muscles and improve pelvic stability.

Better support from the hips means better posture and fewer stress patterns traveling upward. Give it a try today!
